Will the statutory health insurance fund pay for my adjustment?

Does private health insurance pay for my adjustment?

Around 80% of our patients have statutory health insurance. Nevertheless, the treatments are unfortunately not usually paid for by the statutory health insurance companies, as we are licensed in accordance with the Heilpraktikergesetz. For exceptions, please refer to the costs on our website.

For privately insured patients (around 20% of our patients), often all or most of the costs are reimbursed and only rarely nothing at all. It depends on whether alternative practitioner services are also covered, how high the often separate alternative practitioner deductible is and according to which tariffs are reimbursed – minimum rate, average rate, maximum rate or no limit.

Since 2020, the Hamburg state aid no longer pays for treatments by alternative practitioners and therefore also not for your treatments with us. However, your private health insurance would have to cover the costs instead of the benefit if you have taken out a supplementary benefit plan. The prices are the same, regardless of whether you have private or statutory insurance.

If your private insurance does not reimburse the costs, you will have to bear the costs of the treatment yourself, just like patients with statutory insurance.
